Sherie & Simon’s Romantic Wedding Day at Moana Hall, Perth City | Wedding film

As a wedding videographer, every love story is unique and special. However, Sherie and Simon’s wedding day at Moana Hall in Perth City was truly one for the books. From Sherie getting ready at the QT Hotel with her maid of honour and her mum, to capturing her emotional walk down the aisle and the first dance to CLASSIC Taylor’s Swift’s “Lover”, every moment was filled with love, joy, and happiness.

The day started with Sherie’s mum and her maid of honour helping her get ready at the luxurious Perth QT Hotel. Sherie’s stunning gown was designed by Maevana, a boutique bridal label known for their timeless and romantic designs. Maevana is based in Australia and their philosophy is to create gowns that are not only beautiful but also comfortable to wear. They use only the finest materials and fabrics, and their attention to detail is evident in every piece they create. Maevana’s gowns are perfect for modern brides who want a touch of classic elegance on their special day. The dress was completed with a veil from Ashley Wild Bridal. It was an honour to capture this stunning Maevana gown as she walked down the aisle at Moanna Hall.

Kate Phillips was the mastermind behind Sherie’s beautiful hair, creating a classic and elegant look that perfectly complemented her gown. Make Up By Melanie was responsible for the bride’s flawless makeup, working her magic to create a look that was natural and radiant.

Simon and his groomsmen got ready at the Perth QT hotel also, sharing a few stories and beers. Sherie’s dad even wore the tie his wore at his own wedding!

Moanna Hall provided the perfect setting for the wedding ceremony. This stunning Perth city venue boasts elegant architecture and timeless beauty, making it the ideal location for a wedding. The hall’s high ceilings, ornate details, and beautiful stained-glass windows created a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for the ceremony. The soft natural lighting that filled the room added to the romantic ambiance, making the moment even more special. It’s no wonder that Moanna Hall is a popular choice amongst Perth’s couples for their special day.

The stunning floral arrangements were created by Frankie and Eve Designs, who brought their expertise in design and floristry to create a cohesive and beautiful aesthetic for the day. The couple’s friend Jessica Wilson was the stylist for the day, bringing her creativity and eye for detail to make sure everything was perfect.

The overall aesthetic of the day was one of classic elegance with a modern twist, reflecting Sherie and Simon’s unique personality and style.

Almost all the guests had travelled from far to be there with the couple which made it even more special. A witness lottery was organised so everyone wrote their names to be drawn by the couple when signing the mariage certificate. The flower boy (flower man…) made a grand entrance, stealing the show for a moment.

As Sherie made her way down the aisle with her dad, both Simon and Sherie were emotional and took a moment (and tissue!) before the ceremony officially started. They exchanged their vows and said “I do”, obviously mentioning their beloved fur babies.

The celebrant Taeyla Mayde officiated a heartfelt, personal and fun ceremony for Sherie & Simon and their guests.

After the ceremony, we had the pleasure of capturing some stunning shots of the newlyweds around the city. From the elegant architecture of Como, to the grandeur of The Treasury, and the tranquil beauty of Stirling Gardens, every location provided the perfect backdrop for their photos. Sammy and Tom local Perth wedding photographer captured every moment of the day with their dreamy and nostalgic style, providing Sherie and Simon with beautiful memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. A super fun mix of digital, film and polaroid photos which came together beautifully in the final gallery.

The couple’s love for each other was reflected in every detail of the day, from the disco ball that added a touch of playfulness to the atmosphere, to the pops of red and pink that added a burst of color and energy to the day. The reception was an intimate candle-lit affair, with a long table that brought everyone together. The warm glow of the candles and the soft lighting created an atmosphere of intimacy and romance. The catering was provided by Nosh , Perth wedding catering, who created a delicious menu that catered to all of the guests’ needs.

Before the dancefloor kicked off, Sherie and Simon cut their amazing bow wrapped cake by Hello Sukar (as beautiful as it was delicious) and shared their first dance to OF COURSE, Lover by Taylor’s Swift (Sherie third fav person in the world after Simon and the cats).

BIG LOVE to these two wonderful humans, what an honour to capture this love story.
