Teri and Aaron’s modern rooftop wedding took place on the heights of The Melbourne Hotel, one of Perth’s most iconic venues. Set on the beautiful Aurora Rooftop Bar, and effortlessly elegant, the wedding was dripping with sophistication and most importantly, an excellent party!
High above the hustle and bustle of Perth city streets, with a backdrop of the city skyline, the Aurora Rooftop is a space we will never tire of. This rooftop celebration really captures the feeling of a chic city wedding.
A modern and elegant rooftop wedding in the heart of Perth City
Bride Terri’s gorgeous rooftop look was a light blue silk dress with a beaded lace, by Perth dressmakers Paula & Jo. Groom Aaron looked dapper in all navy, to match the bridal party.
Bride Terri was escorted down the aisle by her eldest son, and Celebrant Laura married the couple in a playful ceremony, that captured Aaron and Terri’s fun-loving personalities. To follow were well-deserved cocktails for the happy newlyweds, friends and family.
Nipping down to the iconic Perth bar, restaurant, and self-proclaimed liquor emporium, Tiny’s, for their post-ceremony shoot, the couple wanted candid photos that captured their essence. Nothing staged, nothing cheesy. Tiny’s art-deco inspired windows were the perfect backdrop for the glam couples shots.
Sky Space, City Views + Love Amongst the Clouds
Cocktail hour saw the band Eclipse nail some classics to get friends and family warmed up, ready to hit the dancefloor in style and dance the night away, and dance they did! Featuring spontaneous karaoke by the happy couple, the crowd let their hair down. The dancefloor was full at all times, until the bitter end!
Once the party had died down and the guests had left the building, Bride Terri and Groom Aaron finished their chic city wedding with an intimate rooftop dance alone (plus me) – to mark the beginning of their ‘just us two’.
