Lucky winners : Valentine’s Day Studio Wedding film giveaway
On February 3rd, 2024, I was the Wedding Videographer at Brookleigh Estate in the Swan Valley, for the long-awaited wedding of Melissa and Zan.
They were the lucky winners of my 2023 Wedding Film giveaway and I am so happy they entered, as I have now gained some wonderful friends!
Cherished Moments with Family
From the outset, the atmosphere was filled with joy and warmth. Melissa and Zan prepared for their big day in the Main House at Brookleigh Estate, surrounded by their loved ones, setting the tone for what would be a deeply personal and emotional celebration.
A Heartfelt Ceremony
The ceremony, led by Zan’s cousin, was a heartfelt celebration of their love and commitment. The couple exchanged vows under a beautifully decorated chuppah, and in a traditional Jewish gesture, they joyfully smashed a glass at the end of the ceremony. Sasha took us down memory lane by telling the love story of Melissa and Zan. Yes, it starts in sexology class (spicy!). One of the highlight of their relationship was the eye contact experiment they attended in the first few months of getting to know each other. As Mel and Zan kept this tradition of looking into each others’ eyes for 30 seconds everyday, of course their guests had to participate in the experiment right there and then!
Elegance and Style
Melissa looked incredible in her Hera Couture by Katie Yeung gown from Bridal By Aubrey Rose, complemented perfectly by Sam Edelman feathery shoes. Her hair and makeup, was done by the amazing The Pretty Parlour. Zan, equally dashing in his linen Mj Bale suit, matching his brother’s too.
Musical Highlights
Music played a significant role in the day’s festivities. Melissa and her friend Henry Clarke shared a touching moment when they performed a song together, dedicated to Zan. Henry also provided live music during the cocktail hour, setting a delightful tone for the evening. The DJ and MC, Kylie Pearsall, ensured the party continued with energy and flair as usual!
Memorable Details
Highlights of the day also included a delicious spread from Mi Scusi Food, stunning floral arrangements by Maple and Wren, and beautifully crafted signage and stationery from Paper and Ink Studio. The live painting by Esti Heras captured the essence of the day in a unique and personal way.
A Celebration of Love and Tradition
Every detail, from the carefully curated décor to the joyous celebration, reflected Melissa and Zan’s deep connection to their families and each other. Their wedding was not just an event but a heartfelt celebration of love, tradition, and the importance of family.
It was an honour to document such a meaningful day and to witness the love and happiness that radiated from Melissa and Zan. Here’s to a lifetime of joy and cherished memories for this incredible couple.
