As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless love stories unfold behind my lens. However, there’s something particularly magical about capturing the union of close friends. In August of 2023, I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Marie and Nael, a chic and trendy affair set against the picturesque backdrop of France.
A Stylish Beginning
The preparations began at midday in the cozy confines of Marie’s family home, where laughter and excitement filled the air. Marie radiated elegance in her ensemble from Amarildine, a stunning combination of a top and pants that defied convention, perfectly complementing her unique style. Meanwhile, Nael donned colourful pants paired with a button-up striped shirt, exuding effortless charm.
Saying “I Do” in Gleize
With preparations complete, we made our way to the Mairie de Gleize for the ceremony. Surrounded by their loved closest ones, Marie and Nael said “I do”!
Moving to Domaine de Tourieux
After the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued at Domaine de Tourieux in Savigny. The rustic charm of the venue provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable reception. As guests transitioned from drinks in the garden to party in the courtyard, they were greeted by the rhythmic beats of drums, setting the tone for an evening filled with love, laughter, and endless dancing.
A Night of Festivities
The open courtyard of Domaine de Tourieux transformed into a lively dance floor, with guests twirling and swaying to the music. The air was electric with energy as the newlyweds took to the floor, surrounded by the warm glow of fairy lights and the cheers of their loved ones. It was a celebration of love in its purest form.
Capturing Memories
As the evening unfolded, I had the pleasure of documenting each heartfelt moment – from stolen glances between the newlyweds to laughter shared between friends. Every click of my camera was a testament to the love that filled the air, immortalising memories that would be cherished for a lifetime.
Conclusion
Photographing Marie and Nael’s wedding was so special tp me as I have know the bride for 15 years! Their wedding was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and individuality. As I reflect on that magical day in France, I’m reminded once again why I love what I do – because there’s nothing quite like capturing love in its purest form.
