A Timeless Celebration: Jess and Toby’s Wedding
On December 9th, 2022, I had the honour of capturing the beautiful wedding of Jess and Toby as their Wedding Videographer in Ferguson Valley. Their day was filled with sentimental touches and cherished traditions, making it a truly memorable occasion. The ceremony took place at a charming church attached to Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Dardanup— a location rich with family history, as it was the same church where Jess’s parents had tied the knot, and the ceremony was conducted by the same priest who had officiated their wedding.
A Day Filled with Personal Touches
Jess and Toby’s celebration was infused with personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs. Jess got ready at her parents’ house with the loving support of her mum, Pauline, who helped her prepare for the big day. One of the many, memorable and special moments was Jess arriving at the church in a classic car restored by Toby’s dad, Tony. After the ceremony, Jess and Toby enjoyed a charming ride in the same car to their reception at St Aidan Wines in the picturesque Ferguson Valley.
Heartfelt Moments and Family Traditions
The reception was a delightful mix of tradition and personal flair. Jess’s brothers performed during a touching and well-rehearsed first dance. Guests enjoyed a delectable crayfish entree sourced from Cervantes, and the tables were adorned with personalised seating arrangements. Framed photos of the couple’s grandparents and parents added a nostalgic touch, while a black lab wedding cake topper paid tribute to Jess and Toby’s beloved furry friend. The presence of Jess’s Nanna added an extra layer of warmth to the day.
Cherished Memories and New Beginnings
From lighting the wedding candle that had once been part of Jess’s parents’ ceremony to the heartfelt moments shared with family and friends, Jess and Toby’s wedding was a beautiful blend of past and present. It was a privilege to document such a meaningful day, and I’m grateful to have witnessed and captured the joy and love that surrounded this special couple.
